Daylilies

While I love looking at and photographing flowers, I don’t want to spend a lot of time cultivating them. Enter perennials and natives. Daylilies come in an abundance of colors and need very little care. Past the initial transplanting, I never water or fertilize mine, and I’ve only had one plant not thrive here in the Midwest. They do need to be divided after several years, but that just means you have more daylilies for free to plant somewhere. They’re also edible, at least the wild orange ones.

“Feed me, Seymour!”
This view reminds me of a sandworm from Dune.
